1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ShippitIn website, applications, and freight booking services (together, the “Platform”), operated by [PLACEHOLDER: registered company name] (“ShippitIn”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, placing a booking, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
The Platform is intended for use by businesses and their authorised representatives for freight logistics in India. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are authorised to enter into binding contracts on behalf of the business you represent. Bookings are business-to-business transactions.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for all activity under it. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. Admin users are required to enable two-factor authentication. We may suspend accounts we reasonably believe to be compromised or used in breach of these Terms.
4. Bookings and our role
ShippitIn is a technology platform that lets you search, book, pay for, track, and manage freight movements across supported modes (launching with containerised rail). Carriage, handling, and customs services are performed by carriers, terminals, customs house agents, and other service providers. Your booking may create a contract directly with those providers on their applicable terms, in addition to these Terms.
Quotes, rates, transit times, and availability are estimates based on data available at the time and may change until a booking is confirmed. You are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipment, consignee, cargo, and statutory details (including GSTIN and e-way bill information where applicable).
5. Payments
Fees are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) and are payable through our third-party payment processor. Card details are entered on the processor’s hosted checkout and are never stored by ShippitIn. Taxes apply as required by law. Cancellations, amendments, and refunds are subject to the applicable carrier and service-provider policies shown at the time of booking.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- book or move goods that are illegal, prohibited, or restricted without the required permits;
- submit false, misleading, or fraudulent shipment or compliance information;
- interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its infrastructure;
- copy, scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform except as permitted by law.
7. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its software, design, and content, is owned by ShippitIn or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform for your internal business purposes. Your own data and documents remain yours.
8. Liability
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, ShippitIn is not liable for loss or damage arising from the acts or omissions of carriers or other service providers, from delays or events outside our reasonable control, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and our use of cookies in our Cookie Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [PLACEHOLDER: jurisdiction city] shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any applicable arbitration agreement.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [PLACEHOLDER: legal contact email], or reach us via our Support page.
